From a Coffee Break to the Demo
A bit of history
In 2019, during a coffee break, we were brainstorming game ideas. Since we're French and our country was going through some turmoil at the time, we thought, why not make a game about protests and strikes? In May 2020, we prototyped a game where you block vehicles at roundabouts using trash containers and tires. The goal was to drive down fuel prices. It was very funny. Now, onto serious matters, we knew it had to go further. So, we decided to create multiple protest maps. And since we at Questions Factory are hit hard by the economic crisis, we certainly don’t lack ideas. Today, after 10 months of work (yes, we had to put aside the strikes and holidays this time) to develop the idea started by the prototype, we finally have something: participating in the improvement of an abandoned village while organizing protests in a society far, far away. All wrapped in a story inspired by both historical and current events (turns out reality far surpasses fiction in 2024).
For now, we have two main gameplay components

A village RPG "farm life" mode, where you'll need to participate in various tasks to ensure the camp is supplied by completing several quests in a non-linear map, it's calm and easy;
Several chaotic missions: protests, rescuing key characters (engineer, doctor, cook, etc.), media stunts, infiltration missions, and more.
And with more cash:

A third component would be developing a PvP mode for 4 to 12 players, allowing you to play as protesters, troublemakers, media, and law enforcement, all on the same map!
By October, we’ll likely have a demo for you to give feedback on the first two hours of gameplay (intro, village mode, and first mission). For now, enjoy the trailer. You'll have the opportunity to chat with us to provide feedback and suggestions throughout the development process! So don’t forget to follow or wishlist if you haven't already. 😉
Want to support us right now?
We haven’t launched a crowdfunding campaign yet, but check out our first game, Bonding Ambivalence. It's a bit challenging, but who knows, you might like it! See you at the protest!
