Hi guys. We've been very quiet about the game over the several months simply because we were busy working on it! We figured that it's best to wait until things are ready, rather than promise stuff that wouldn't have necessarily made it into the game for one reason or another.
Roguelike Mode has been renamed to "Adventure" and is now the main mode in the game. There's no two ways about it: it is the most fun and challenging out of the three. With that being said, we now also have new factions you can play as in Adventure mode!
That's right, all factions you meet on the battlefield are available to you as well. Not right off the bat though! You need to first defeat their respective heroes (bosses) to unlock the factions themselves. Every faction has also received new augments and modifiers to make them feel a bit more unique. This means you're unlikely to find the same rewards after battle, or the shop when you play as different factions.

To make things a bit less random and annoying, the pool of bosses you can fight always takes into consideration who you've already defeated, and will reset to fully random once you've defeated all of them.
Except for the Kingdom, each faction has a Unique Mechanic. Let's go through them:
The Undead
Undead collect souls as they slay their enemies. You'll be able to claim a reward at various thresholds (not yet visible in the screenshot, still WIP) in form of a new augment.
Barbarians
Barbarians reward a unique playstyle. Where it's mostly beneficial to focus on a few strengths, barbarians reward a varied army composition. For every 10 different unit types you place, you gain Barbarian Unity. Each level gives you +10% damage, which is a hefty bonus.

Additionally you can PLUNDER stores! Instead of purchasing things for money (which no barbarian likes to spend!) you can simply rob the store and receive a random reward.
Greenskins
Everybody knows that Orcs like to bonk people on the head with whatever they have at hand, and if there's nothing at hand, they'll grab another person, and bonk others with them.
Greenskins have a Waagh meter, which represents their readiness for battle. It increases by a little every time you choose to fight something, and decreases HEAVILY if you choose to step onto a shop, or an event (providing it's not an ambush, in which case the Orcs will love it).

If your Waagh is too low, orcs will think you're a boring leader, and will be a lot less eager to fight (hence get penalties to combat instead of bonuses). For this reason, it's a faction which values careful planning of your path (and unfortunately sometimes RNG can screw you, so be ready for that too!).
That's all we have for you for today, and I hope you're looking forward to the game. Please remember to wishlist if you haven't yet, and send it to your friends!
