EXOCIDE: Dev Update One

EXOCIDE

Exocide from Apogee (Duke, Turbo, Prey, Max). Humans made superbugs to fight as soldiers. And the bugs turned against us. You're the last Handler, a human+AI robotic team with 4 total arms capable of welding 4 weapons, or one HUGE gun. Stop the super swarms before total human extinction.

Some neat stuff is in the works for Exocide, I haven't posted much here and will make it a priority. However, I'll be making these dev updates short, sweet, shiny, and to the point. If you have any questions, concerns, or critique just post it here or in the discord, I'll get back to you asap! (Discord is usually faster) What's going on?: - Revamped and simplified HUD. The old one was a little raw, this seems to suit the game much better. Also RPG main weapon, which is not in the current Steam trailer. This will be optional and still is a WIP. - Added "Power Drifting" use your power reserves to double your speed and the cost of some control. You now have an electronic flame thrower, it can deal damage to enemies and power up abandoned structures to help you out. It is the only weapon in the game that runs off your power reserves. They can be found throughout most levels and in Trench Mode to provide assistance and covering fire. A talented AI killer far beyond her expiration date. - Added "Sentry Turrets" Erect these to help out. ( This was a bug, max per level is undetermined ) I wanted to share the footage regardless. These turrets are lesser GENNI duplicates, earn memory cards to raise a small army in both Campaign and Trench Mode. The system seen in the trailer has been replaced, more info on this will be made available soon. - Flying Enemies added. This very likely means Exocide will run on UE5 post release.
