Duskborn

Duskborn is a 3rd-person roguelite game. Descend into the Abyss as fast as possible, level up by defeating various enemies, collect and combine items to upgrade your player. Maneuver through the Abyss with your jetpack and grappling hook. The race against time is on.

[h1]Duskborn Chapter 2 is out now![/h1] Duskborn is a university project developed at Stuttgart Media University over the course of two semesters. This update includes all of the progress which was made in the second semester, as well as the months afterwards, in which we continued to polish it and finished some things we could not get done during the semester. We spent this time to transform the prototype into a more fleshed out product with more content and a more satisfying gameplay loop, that encourages replayability and build variety. [h2]Patch Notes[/h2] [h3]New Content[/h3] [list] [*] [b]New Map "Holy Ground":[/b] A second map to explore has been added, in which you will encounter new enemies, bosses and discover new secrets [*] [b]New Enemies:[/b] [list] [*] Carnivore [*] Angel [*] Terranova [*] Squid [/list] [*] [b]New Boss enemy[/b] [*][b] Rare and Elite Enemies:[/b] Regular enemies can now spawn as rares and elites, which gives them several randomized boosts to their stats. [*] Enemies now have a chance to drop one of their abilities as [b]"Effect items"[/b], which the player can then use to craft items from, effectively using the enemies weapons against them. [*] You can now [b][i]loop[/i][/b] after finishing the game, which will transport you back to the first level. You will keep all your equipment when looping, but the difficulty scaling will also remain, so you will have the opportunity to really push your build to the extreme and fight against even larger hordes of enemies. [*] The buff and ability systems have been overhauled to assist in creating all of the new abilities and effects. [*][b]Lore Logbook:[/b] You can now collect Artefacts that are spread around the map and by defeating enemies. These can be viewed in a special logbook, which contains a lot of useful information about them. [/list] [h3]Balancing[/h3] [list] [*] major rebalancing of enemy difficulty scaling and player scaling [*] various parts have been added and removed and had their drop chances adjusted, so that you will on average find many more useful parts for your build [/list]
