Dualis

Dualis is a sci-fi horror thriller whose story takes you to an underground research complex. You will have to fight not only for your life, but also to understand if you really exist. What is consciousness and personality are the questions you will have to ask yourself.

Dualis has finally become available in steam early access, this is certainly a good thing. However, it's premature to celebrate, as this is just the beginning of a long journey. I have already received some feedback from those who have already played the game, and in general it has been received quite warmly, but there have also been some issues that need to be addressed urgently. I decided that before starting the realization of the second episode, it is necessary to close the existing problems such as bugs. I will list the most important of them. Bugs:

AI - Most of all, my attention was drawn to the behavior of zombies, sometimes they just stopped paying attention to the player, sometimes they didn't see the player point-blank, in general they could be extremely uninterested in the presence of the player. In addition, other, less significant, but still annoying bugs were found. In this regard, it was decided to completely rework the AI of enemies, it is a big job, but now, with the experience gained, I think I can make it better.
Shooting - Many people wrote that they tried not to use the gun, because shooting turned out to be quite uncomfortable. The plan is to change the mechanics of shooting and make an auto-aim on the nearest characters.
Balance - The last location proved to be quite difficult to get through. I strive to keep the game interesting, not stuffy. As such, the balance of this section of the game needs to be optimized to make it more accessible to players.
Animations - The character animations look pretty bad, in principle I realized this even before the release of the episode, but decided to postpone solving this problem in order not to delay the release of the game
These are the main problems, but, of course, not all the fixes to be made, there are more minor ones, for example, sometimes enemies can clamp the character or chase if they are dead or the same item constantly falls out of enemies. These tasks I plan to close within a month or two and after that, to begin the realization of the second level. Episode 2 plans:

When's the second episode? I plan to release the second episode around December this year. I hope to be able to quickly solve the current problems in the game and start the realization of the second one. Now that the foundation of the game has been laid, the process of releasing new episodes should accelerate, all that remains is to finalize the current version and start developing new episodes.
What will be in the new episodes? In episode 2, new enemies will be introduced and Adam's ability to fight them will be used more actively. There will be new, more powerful weapons. We will also learn more about what happened in the complex and what led to the disaster. The relationship between Adam and Lily will also continue, we will learn more about the history of these characters and what challenges they will face on the way to salvation.
That's my plans. I will try to write posts like this more often, I just enjoyed it and to keep you updated on what's going on with the game. Thanks again for your support and feedback. It's invaluable to me, only with your help will I be able to make this game better.
