AR.I.A is (except the Player) the most important character in the game. So it was very important to us that her voice is very well made, and adapted to what we wanted to achieve. First iterations of her voice were generated on the computer through voice generating software and then edited to have more computer-like sound. It was great and fitted the game fine, but we still believed that it needed to be more alive and acted out, though recorded by a living human. That’s how we came in contact with Sammi Price.
