[p]Hello tamers![/p][p][/p][p]I've been using Discord (discord.gg/nexomon) to post small devlogs now and then. Starting today I'd like to post them on our Steam page as well as things are starting to take more shape. Nevertheless I strongly encourage you to join our discussion on Discord.[/p][p][/p][p]This post is regarding devlog 006 - the Encyclopedia UI. This is a good opportunity to showcase the overall art direction in regards to the our monsters as well as the environments, as the Encyclopedia allows you to preview different backgrounds.[/p][p][/p][p]Pay no mind to any of the numbers on the screen. We have not yet determined any stats for our Nexomon, so these were randomly generated and, of course, this is by no means the official sorting of Nexomon (I just added some that I wanted to show).[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube="4CqZ8-_qruQ;full"][/previewyoutube][p]The Encyclopedia should somehow aid players with location data/hints, although I'm not sure what the best format for that is quite yet. There are many more things that we should improve upon on this UI - such as sorting functions, badges for when a Nexomon has been captured, and other gameplay stats (e.g. times fought etc). Still, I hope this provides a general sense of the direction this system is taking.[/p][p][/p][p]Curious about these Elemental Affinities? In Nexomon III, we no longer strongly categorize monsters by element. Each creature has a degree of affinity towards each element, which in turn affects various related mechanics. You could say that almost every Nexomon is technically multi-type now.[/p][p][/p][p]Please join us for more details and discussion in our official Discord server here: https://discord.gg/nexomon[/p][p][/p][p]Until next time,[/p][p]JVemon[/p][p][/p]
