Development Update 13/07/2020
Hey otter gang! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend, TH here bringing you all the latest updates from what we are working on from our bunkers at the moment for The Otterman Empire and what we have planned this week.
Dan the Man (lead programmer):
Dan is working on the AI profiling and pathways of a new enemy type we will be adding into The Otterman Empire, we have been listening to your feedback on wanting to see a better enemy variety within the single-player mode of The Otterman Empire and we have been working on three new enemy types already, we have been doing around the clock playtesting for these enemy types getting their pathfinding and profiling fine-tune for when they can be added to the main game for all you lovely otters to blast with your water weapons.
Additionally, Dan is also working on more localisation stuff for some new words that will be being added into the game which is a long process so he will be tackling that later this week.
Chris the Dis (lead artist):
Chris has been working on the character models for our new AI types that will be being added into The Otterman Empire with our new enemy all I can say is this much it's an enemy type Simran and Chris have wanted to add into the game for a long while and frankly it's so stupid it's amazing (ten points to the otter who gets the reference when they see it)
Additionally, he is also working on some art updates for the Nintendo Switch port of the game to be able to get the game to look more aesthetically pleasing without causing any issues for the Switch version of the game.
Team community (Simran, Caroline, and Dan Sheridan)
Team community have been working on continuing to spread the word across the world mainly to news websites, PR journalists, influencers and working away on appearing on podcasts and other interview platforms throughout the week to spread the word of Otter Space.
