Summary
Shoulders of Giants 1.0 released in January of this year on Epic Games and Xbox. As we gear up towards our Steam release we wanted to share all of the updates we've added since then.

In our first update after 1.0, we added 3 new features to the game, Owl's Protection, Hardcore Mode, and ranked leaderboards.
Owls Protection:
This feature, geared toward newer players, grants you an extra boost when you lose multiple planets in a row. Protection can be turned on or off at any time by speaking with the Owl in-game.
Hardcore Mode
When you are defeated, this save will be deleted. Perfect for those seeking extra bragging rights and a classic Roguelike experience. Not for first-time players!

Our second update added a ton of new content to the game, and includes huge improvements to the core level modes.
Improved Level Modes
Even our biggest fans agreed: the game needed more level variety. We completely overhauled the game's mission types to make them far more unique and interesting.
For our Conquest mode, there are now several different spire types players will encounter instead of just one. For Storm, this mode was revamped so players now work to activate and defend light probes. For Hunt, instead of just defeating enemies in general, this mode now requires you to hunt special targets that are more challenging.
New Arena Experience
Fight hordes of enemies inside challenging hidden indoor arenas. Beat them to unlock extra rewards!
8 New Abilities
We expanded the arsenal of abilities to well over 50+ now, with notable additions like anti-air missiles, enemy-encasing bubbles and bouncing grape grenades.
New Planet Anomaly System
This brand new system modifies attributes of the landscape and enemy forces. Experience a low gravity world, or one with shifting tectonic plates and a shower of meteors. Fight Berserker enemies that have half health, but double damage, or enemies that regenerate health.
Well be posting another update soon, stay tuned!
