Muspelheim is the realm of brimstone, molten lava, and unrelenting flames. It’s the primordial domain, the home of the Fire Giants, and their fearsome kin — elemental beasts and monstrous minions who will test your mettle at every turn.
Prepare for battle, because [b]Muspelheim is coming to Jotunnslayer in the Early Access version, launching January 21! [/b]

[b]Welcome to Muspelheim, where THE OBJECTIVES have been reimagined to match the fiery intensity of this volatile world.[/b]
Lava Pools replace Graves, fiery Braziers illuminate the landscape, and dimensional Portals (they might offer a glimpse into the oblivion). But it’s not just about the visuals — these elements bring new mechanics with them. For example, the Curse of Winter has evolved into the Curse of Heat, challenging you with debilitating heat, or cataclysmic firestorms.
We’ve also added a new objective: [i]Runners[/i]. These elusive foes flee as you approach, leading you into the unknown — whether it’s an ambush by enemies or the hazards lurking in the shadows of brimstone.
Lastly, in the realm of primordial flame you will face a number of positional puzzles.

[b]Let’s talk HAZARDS - because in Muspelheim, danger takes on terrifying new forms.[/b]
Some hazards emerge as living nightmares, like the thorns. These spiked monstrosities spawn near you, impaling you and dealing damage on contact. Their unpredictable nature will keep you on the edge, and uncertain of every move.
Then, there are the Mortars — a more tactical threat. These fiery artillery units spawn at a distance, raining down a relentless barrage on your position. Their ammunition is infinite, they fire without mercy, and most importantly increase in number with passing time. But like any stationary weapon, they have a weakness: track them using your minimap, close the distance, and eliminate them before they reduce you to smoldering ashes.

While many retain the behaviors of their Niflheim counterparts, the enemies in Muspelheim sport their own molten look that reflects the heat and chaos of the Muspel. Some have even received enhanced visual effects - you can be sure that under all that craggy exterior, there is a warm hearth.
