December Community Update

Lord of Rigel

Lord of Rigel is a turn-based 4X space strategy game inspired by the classics. In a galaxy divided by two elder races, will you unite with other species or forge your own path? Navigate galactic politics and defeat threats using espionage, research, and military force. How will you shape the galaxy?

Greetings Lords of Rigel! This past week has included a number of optimizations and fixes for community reported bugs. This has included at least one critical fix with colony bases and a range of UI display fixes for incorrect not not displayed data under certain conditions (temporal anomalies). The plan over December is to continue to work on community reported issues and continue on optimizations. There will also be some data structure changes to allow for council decree support. He and a Rigelan leader are both available in the leader pools of new games. Decrees apply penalties to a faction ranked highest with a particular resource, but bonuses for all other factions. Active decrees also reduce the Doomsday Clock, so even if you are a lead faction you may want to take temporary economic hit. Mechanically, this continues the meddling of the elder races to "level" the playing field to advance their own agendas. Expect this in early 2025.
