Hi everyone. I hope everyone just had a nice Halloween. This year, I’ve brewed up something delightfully different! While you might not spot Halloween mentioned in the update logs, brace yourself—the game is set to run the event automatically! Sounds spine-chilling, right? Picture this: gardening vendors starting to offer mysterious seeds that might just give you a fright. Imagine stumbling upon pumpkins in your garden, transformed into something truly twisted. And what’s that eerie sound? Oh, just the distant screams echoing from certain Foundation facilities! When you want to leave all those messes behind and look for a vacation place, check out the Wonderland Travel Agency. You may find most of the destinations are filled with all sorts of terrifying creatures. The thrill of the unknown awaits you! But remember, what you encounter depends entirely on your local game experience. If you happen to miss the frightful fun, you can always rewind your system time to relive those spooky moments. Or, if you prefer, you can simply relish in your blissful ignorance—unless, of course, that’s just what the game wants you to think. Enjoy the eerie excitement! It's temporary; the game will automatically go back to "normal" once your system time is no longer in the Halloween period. Now, let's go down to other, a bit less scary game content. First, I took some time to clean up the localization files. The game reported about 30 localization issues, and I manually found 3 more. All of them are fixed. One interesting thing is that I also found Steam is not very non-English-friendly when uploading game content through its webpages, causing all localization in our "All Fear Comes from the Lack of Firepower" DLC to get messed up. It's fixed by uploading the DLC again via the Steam pipeline client. Of course, I took this chance to add the latest new firearms to the DLC, including Israel Uzi Submachine Guns. Next, The game received a massive map expansion in various locations. The Black Frog Cave gets a 3rd floor. There is a new cave on the northeast side of Chillwind Valley. Liu got a Dark Alley, which is supposed to be very scary, and there is now a parking lot in front of the courthouse so that you may take a taxi there. Well, it is as scary as real life. :D With new locations, we also need new characters to start their stories. So, some preparations have been made. Now, what's this week's new story? It's about a lost White Wolf Legion of the Nise Federation. Let's go back to the cave on the northeast side of the Chillwind Valley. There are many ghosts of White Wolf Warrior here. You may have learned that a big battle took place here long ago. But what exact battle is it? Now you may find more clues in this new cave. Once you enter it, you may have a vision of what happened here. Before that, feel free to make your own assumptions about what happened here. Previously, in SAPC++'s era, we already know General Barov and his legion died here. Now, after many years, we may get the answer to how they perished. In addition to their stories, you may find many new loots from the general and his warriors, including his blade engraved with his battle cry "For the Federation" (always +100% VS Demon effect) and many pieces of armor worn by those warriors. That is if you can defeat their ghosts first. Various ghosts of White Wolf Warriors can be found at the entrance and inside the cave. And their general will always spawn where he made his last stand. He always drops his blade, but each time, he may have different attributions and prefixes in case people want to farm this unique boss. But be prepared, as he has a set of unique skills and can call reinforcements into the battle. But this world is not all about wars and supernatural threats. Next, let me introduce you to some traveling merchants. Have you wondered how those hermits, such as Master Kuyi and Dr. Kyoryu, live in their isolated homes far away from civilization and replenish their daily life supplies? Sure, they sometimes go to nearby towns. However, there are often times when some traveling merchants pass by their homes to do business with them. (After all, they are considerable quite reach.) So, from now on, every time you get into their home, you may find some random traveling merchants already there doing their business. Of course, you can take this opportunity to resupply yourself as well. Each traveling merchant may have different kinds of goods to offer. If you don't find the one with the goods you like, maybe you just need to wait a bit for the next one to come. Essentially, that can allow you to get some potions, some ammo, or some scrolls right there without the need to go all the way back to a town. That covers the major part of this week's update.
