Welcome back! Today I will be explaining how to win a game in Solar Nations 2, which includes diplomacy.
Alignment and Teams
Who wins the game is dependent on which ideology is the strongest at the end of the game's timeline. You can change your ideology, but it is much harder later in the game as you will have many more reforms, each of which favor a specific ideological path and thus incentivizes picking many reforms of the same ideology for maximum effectiveness.
Team Play
In order to ensure your team's victory, it can be useful to ally yourself with like-minded nations from around the Solar System after the initial expansion phase is over. AI nations will slowly form larger and larger alliances as the game progresses, with major powers becoming the leaders of power blocs representing the interests of their favored ideology. Even if you are a weaker nation, finding a like-minded Great Power to ally with is a good way to both ensure your safety in the future, as well as increase the likelihood of your way of thinking achieving victory over the others, as eventually the whole System will be concentrated within 3-5 alliances, and wars between the late-game alliances will determine who wins and loses.
Organizations
Organizations represent alliances and trade blocs simultaneously. When they are formed, they lack any significant effects, but can be enhanced with alliances and trade agreements, should a majority of members agree to the treaty. If you are strong, this means you can rope minor powers into your orbit, and then diplomatically control them using your larger value of Prestige to overrule their votes. However, as forming larger nations is more lucrative than having a vassal swarm, you must carefully consider when to do this, as you cannot easily backstab your allies.

And that is all, diplomacy is quite simple and easy to work with because it cannot absorb too much of your focus, as you have a military and economy to manage- complex diplomacy rarely improves the situation in my experience, and you will need to be able to quickly declare war on people to annex them early in the game.
