[p][img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44870929/3ef5160d9e319111311f4b6d8c395cf8714586fa.png"][/img][/p][p]Hello everyone![/p][p][/p][p]I’m Miicheer, the solo developer behind [i]Welcome to Chirpvenience![/i].[/p][p]This is a game I’ve been creating entirely on my own — from art, story, scripting, to programming (aside from public resources and things I’ve studied along the way), every piece has been slowly put together by me.[/p][p]I started development in March 2023, and now it’s already heading into its third year.[/p][p]Throughout this journey, I’ve spent a lot of time learning how everything works — diving into official documentation, experimenting with code samples, and even troubleshooting with AI just to get systems working the way I envisioned. It’s been a long and often clumsy process, but seeing the game finally resemble what I had in mind makes me genuinely happy.[/p][p]This is also my very first post here on Steam.[/p][p]I’d hoped to share progress updates much earlier, but between my day job and development, things got a little hectic. It wasn’t until the past month or two that I made the decision to remake the DEMO — and that finally pushed me to sit down and write this.[/p][p]Also, a small update: since June, I’ve officially shifted to full-time development.[/p][p]The pressure is different now, but it’s also allowed me to focus much more deeply on this project. I’m still finding my rhythm, but I’m getting there — one day at a time.[/p][p][/p][p][img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44870929/c76cbb8ab598bfdf04653a884423bc4e0feb762f.png"][/img][/p][p]The image above shows some of the bigger updates and optimizations.[/p][p]As for the new story content and changes in presentation, I’ll leave those for you to discover in-game — including the new characters![/p][p]Some of the updated backgrounds were redrawn or newly added, which ended up increasing my workload quite a bit.[/p][p]I'm not very good at drawing backgrounds, but I'm happy that they turned out better than before![/p][p][/p][p]The upcoming DEMO is now in its final stage, and it’ll be a big step up from the previous version.[/p][p]There will be several new characters, more interactive scenes, and this time, every customer who appears in the store will have their own portrait. The overall pace and tone of the game also feel much closer to the everyday atmosphere I wanted for this little town.[/p][p]The [b]main background theme[/b] was composed by [b]Kyatto[/b], and honestly, it feels like the heart of Chirpvenience finally clicked into place when I heard it. It captures both the calm rhythm of life and the subtle connections between characters![/p][p]You’ll also hear several more BGM tracks by Kyatto in the updated DEMO, which really help shape the world’s overall vibe and emotional texture.[/p][p][/p][p]If everything goes smoothly, I’m planning to release the updated DEMO as part of [b]Steam Next Fest in October[/b]. The translations for English and Japanese are already done, but since I'm still pretty new to all this, I’m testing things little by little with the help of friends.
