While we lie flat on our backs, pretending to work, we'd like to clarify some points that we are asked about the most. Of course, a reasonable question arises: how do you intend to clarify anything if you're lying there and doing nothing? The answer is... we've sorted that out. And now, onto the topic. Since the announcement, an indefinite amount of time has passed, impossible to calculate, and during this time a number of questions have piled up, about the future project as a whole, and about the trailer in particular. Today, we'll try to answer some of them. And yes, some say that we have a terribly bad sense of humor, so today we'll try a new format of ultra-dry and serious news, just like on your TV, to make everyone wince. Perhaps the most common question that we've received head-on and on the head is about languages and voice acting. Especially, this pertains to the Russian language. At the moment, as for the languages, we can confidently say that we can't afford to do less than what was in the first part of the game. This means that if you heard a certain voiceover or saw a certain subtitle translation in the first game, they will also be present in the second part of the game. We're not yet sure who will lend their voices to our project, and this question is still being worked on, so we'll announce it later, someday, perhaps. We also can't say for certain whether new VO languages that weren't in the first part of the game will be added, but we'd certainly want that. The developers are diligently learning 16 languages and attempting to imitate the sound of a chicken's cluck in all of them, but... We've thought about it a lot, studied the topic, and even tried moving in that direction. However, as financially tempting as it may be to slap co-op onto Breathedge and get X2 sales, using the earned money to buy a pack of chips, it's unlikely to be added on release of the main game. Why? First and foremost, Breathedge is a game about specific characters, with a weak plot, awkward gameplay, and terrible dialogues that hardly fit into a cooperative experience. No matter how hard we try to create a Frankenstein's monster for the sake of monotonous collaborative garbage collection, we have to sacrifice things we don't want to sacrifice – from physics and the story to porting to other platforms. Like before, we're not giving up on the idea of co-op (because we're naive fools), and if the stars align, we might do something with it in one way or another. But it's better not to dwell on it. Above all, Breathedge 2 should be viewed as a single-player project for very drunk people and animals. So here's the thing: it won't. Well, more precisely, it may end up being in the game, but only as a separate option for enthusiasts. Overall, we'll try to make as many things in the game optional as possible, including the game itself. The more freedom there is in customization, the more fun it is. Since we mentioned platforms above, let's immediately answer a common question about them. We have the desire to release the game on all major platforms, just like we did with the first part. Whether we can achieve it or not is another question. After all, desire is what matters, right? Right? Right??? In any case, we'll be announcing all changes through news updates or by simply shouting them out the window. Will modern technologies like FSR and other DLSS be supported? Well, of course, we could Google what all of those are, but since, as you remember, we're lying flat on our backs here pretending to work, let's just give you a straight answer: Yes, all of it will be supported! In fact, it's worth mentioning that the project will be developed in Unreal Engine 5, which means we'll have access to all sorts of new technologies and features that we won't use. The full list of technological solutions will probably be revealed closer to the release, and in the meantime, as we create the game and implement these DLSS things, we'll be sure to write updates and mention them. Our programmer has already promised us FSR and DLSS, he’s even sworn by someone, but we forgot by whom. Even more important than technologies for smoothing the Man's beard, for us, will be the accessibility of the game, and this is one of the reasons for switching to the updated engine from Epic Games. With the previous version, we encountered a number of technical problems, especially with new hardware that didn't exist at the time of the game's release. These problems led to bugs and crashes, which can be fixed manually, but would be better off fixed inside the project. So, why don't we fix them? L – and no, not Laziness, as you immediately thought unfairly offending us, but Logic. The percentage of this bug is ridiculously low, and the consequences of our wonky code, which would require a complete project rebuild due to the lack of official solutions, would bring along a heap of huge problems that prevent us from touching anything. And so we're not touching it. In the new version, similar issues will be addressed with native engine fixes, plus a better thought-out project architecture. Hooray for updates and fixes with no lower-back pain! There will be no relationship with a bear in the game! Many people are asking about the appearance of the Man, noticing that there's something subtly different about him. Here, it's quite simple. The Man is seriously busy saving humanity and inviting him to shoot for the video was impossible, so we had to hire stand-ins and record everything as it was. The Chicken was played by one of our team members. In the final version of the game, the Man will look slightly different. In fact, we have prepared for today's update and can already show his real preliminary appearance. Since we're already talking about appearances, we can't skip another super common and exciting question: will Babe's face be shown? Babe is an independent character. She will be an integral member of the team with her own story, personality, and needs. In the game, she'll decide where to turn her head, so whether the player sees her face depends more on the player than on us. We've never hidden her appearance, why would we? Moreover, to put an end to this question once and for all, today we'll show a concept art dedicated to this wonderful woman. We still have plenty of questions, and you probably have even more, but let's leave that for the next update, since we rarely get to see each other now. Plus, writing such a long and dry news update without a hint of our signature, delicate, and bright humor – it's tough. That's just the way it is. By the way, if you ask your questions on our Discord, the link to which we traditionally leave below, we'll jot down those questions as usual and try to answer the most pressing ones. Here it is, our Discord. You can still add Breathedge 2 to your wishlists and follow the game's page. It would make us really happy, because... well... it's cool, wishlists and all, those numbers growing vroom, vroom-vroom! Yeah, cool stuff overall, so be sure to add it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2412960/Breathedge_2
