Hey guys! Welcome to another devlog! Today, we're excited to share some updates on the development of Into The Darkness VR. We're constantly improving the game, adding new passages, and enhancing the atmosphere of the location. The stunning graphics are just one aspect of what we're working on. We're also putting a lot of effort into creating realistic physics, advanced AI, and a deep, rich story. We want the game to be more than just a showcase of technology – we want it to be an immersive and engaging experience for players.
Deeper than graphics
The plot of Into The Darkness VR is almost finalized. While we don't want to give away too much, we can assure you that it won't be a simple, cliched story "robots bad, go kill." We've put a lot of thought and effort into the background and context of the game, and we're excited to share more details with you at a later date. For now, suffice it to say that we have prepared a deep, rich story that we think you will really enjoy. One of the biggest challenges of VR gaming is creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for players. Ladders and climbing can be particularly frustrating, as they can lead to situations in which, for example, we’re already at the top and… we’re falling. That's why we've been working on improving the platforming elements in Into The Darkness VR. Our goal is to create a system that allows players to explore and collect hidden items without encountering frustrating obstacles. This means that you'll be able to see your entire body as you move through the game world. However, we don't want the physics in the game to be so exaggerated that they become annoying or tiring. We've designed the game to avoid situations where your leg might catch on an object and pull you off balance, so you can focus on enjoying the game without any frustrating distractions. The drones in the game will be able to search for you and avoid obstacles, making combat more exciting and dynamic. Plus, the game's soundtrack will kick in during fights, adding to the excitement and energy of the action scenes.
