The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a 3v4 asymmetrical horror experience that's better with your friends. Die together, Survive together, and hunt together. Here Creative Director Ronnie Hobbs discusses how he brought that vision to life. "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, dating back to my early childhood when I first saw the original film. So after working in the video game industry for nearly 20 years now, I can't tell you how much it means to me that I was tasked with overseeing the game. It's really a dream project for me, and I think the asymmetrical multiplayer aspect only enhances the experience. Being able to take on the role of multiple Slaughter Family members, or one of the many Victims, and share that experience with your friends online really makes it feel like you are taking part in the film. I really wanted each playthrough to feel dynamic and ever-changing, with human decisions constantly altering and shaping the experience for everyone around them. The film nerd in me wanted to see how the general public would respond if they were actually thrown into that situation, and so far the results have been awesome. I love watching a group of friends try and navigate the environment that we've built, to see how they would play the "movie", so to speak. This simply wouldn't be possible with single player, and everyone here at Gun Interactive, along with our dev partner at Sumo Digital Nottingham, is really proud of what we have created." - Ronnie Hobbs, Creative Director Thank you for your time and consideration and we can't wait to hop back into Texas with you all.
