[h1]Hey everyone![/h1] Today I get to share a little bit about what I’ve been working on for [b]My Beautiful Paper Smile: Chapter 3![/b] I’ve been in full development for this chapter for a little over a month, and I’m thrilled to say that things are coming along really smoothly. Before the game launched in Early Access in June, I was able to program some new systems that are helping development immensely. For example, in the past it could easily take over an hour to add a single conversation between a couple characters, but I made a new dialogue system that allows me to add conversations in just a few minutes. It’s been great! So with those improvements, I’ve been able to get a lot done on the third chapter. Here are a few goodies to look forward to. [img]https://media.giphy.com/media/efsJZwcO3X9sQnfA71/giphy.gif[/img] For starters, in the second chapter I started experimenting with some larger, more open environments to explore. A lot of people really enjoyed this change, so this is something I’m trying to continue in Chapter 3. Another big addition that this will allow for is patrolling enemies. This is something that I originally wanted to include in the first chapter, but because of the way I built the levels, there just wasn’t any way to make it possible. This is why I instead used the security cameras. So while there won’t be cameras in Chapter 3, you will see a much more interactive world, and better stealth system. You can read the changelog below: [u]Version 5.0.1d[/u] -Fixed bugged cranks that would prevent beating the second chapter's boss. -Added “F” as a shortcut key to equip and unequip the “Life” item. -Optimized package size. -Fixed issue of players spawning in the air after exiting buildings.
