VESTIGE

VESTIGE is a room-scale VR documentary that uses volumetric capture to take the viewer on a journey into the mind of Lisa as she remembers her lost love. Within an empty void, fragments of past memories appear of their life together and eventually lead us to the shocking moment of Erik’s death.

The recent AR film 'Fragments' is a heartbreaking Mixed Reality documentary based on real-life testimony released on the International Day of Light is now FREE on Magic Leap. 'Fragments' inspired by 'Vestige' and also directed by Aaron Bradbury, is the latest production by NSC Creative and Atlas V. Like Vestige, it navigates the complex world of love, grief and memory by giving the viewer an opportunity to step directly into someone’s tragedy and experience the narrative. Cutting edge spatial audio presents a unique opportunity to represent the ephemeral qualities of memory -- how over time, they become tangled, misremembered, and without form. Using particles and spatial audio to guide users' gazes, meshing points generate an eerie soundscape with parameters that react to proximity, focus, pausing, or looking away. Users can tell that they are impacting the experience, even if they're not sure exactly how.
