August 2023 Dev Log: Steam VN Fest and Playtest Announcement

It’s the new month in August and we’re excited to give you some updates on what we’re currently working on in KISS. [u][h1][b]Steam VN Fest and Playtest![/b][/h1][/u] Apparently, we want to open the playtest today, coinciding with the Steam VN Fest. Our team has been working very hard over the past week, but there's still not enough time. We've been iterating the gameplay and visuals. We're fans of [b]DDR (Dance Dance Revolution)[/b] and [b]Pump It Up[/b]-type games. And this rhythm game is the first thing that came to our minds that fits with the KISS concept, a management simulation about K-pop, idols and music. So, if you're also the fan of DDR or Pump It Up, we hope that you’ll love this too! This is the first look of the basic idea of the game. We started with the WASD keys on keyboard. [img]https://iili.io/HthXUru.gif[/img] After the game is working, we started to get the 1st looks, and laying out the UI. From left to centered, we also tried different backgrounds. [img]https://iili.io/Hthwwmv.gif[/img] We still wanted to have more K-pop feels in the game. So we added more polishing and animation, and this is the final look of the game. [u][h1][b]Schedule Tree[/b][/h1][/u] Besides the mini-games, we also added a new feature to help players plan a better schedule while playing. Through the Schedule Tree, you'll be able to see [b]what tasks next[/b] and [b]how to unlock them[/b], giving you clearer ideas on [b]what to choose and focus on[/b] in the game.
