The game focuses on the storyline and flying shooting. The protagonist's journey to explore the old world is cut short when her flying ship crashes on Whale Island. While repairing the ship, she encounters Lilliana and Ryan, caught in their conflicts, and uncovers causality and secrets.
Taiwanese independent game developer "Starry Seaweed Game Studio" is set to debut their latest creation, "Artificial Wings," at the "CooMIC²" event on May 25th at Taipei Expo Park.
This game is centered around individual development, with everything from the core concept, art design, to programming being the work of a single person. To deepen the narrative's emotional resonance, the main storyline was crafted in collaboration with a novelist, weaving a grand romantic fantasy journey. "Artificial Wings" combines elements of flying, romance, and adventure, set on floating islands with distinct Taiwanese characteristics, marking the beginning of an epic adventure.

Players will take on the role of a young female mechanic who dreams of exploring the ancient world that has perished. Her journey begins unexpectedly with a crash landing. Throughout the game, players must collect materials during flying levels, which can be exchanged in towns or used to solve puzzle games, and complete tasks to help residents build or repair items.
As the story progresses, players can deepen relationships with their preferred characters through their responses, and depending on the choices made in the game, these will reflect the player's identity and values, further influencing the story's direction and outcome.
The developer noted that the choice of game theme was inspired by personal life experiences and societal observations, whether past conflicts, troubles, or dreams and aspirations. The aim is to create a unique game that could only be made in Taiwan, sharing life experiences through the medium of gaming.
