🎉 Archetype Blue will be showcased at G-EIGHT in Taipei! 🛫

[p]Hello, everyone![/p][p]Today, we’re excited to share some news about Archetype Blue global showcase.[/p][p]We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be participating in G-EIGHT, held from December 12 to December 14, 2025, at Expo Dome, Yuanshan Flower Expo Park, Taipei![/p][p]Last year, we had the amazing opportunity to visit Taipei. steamthumbsup[/p][p]Although our flight was delayed due to a snowstorm and we had to wait at the airport for a long time before finally arriving, we were able to showcase the evolved visuals of our game and meet global players for the first time. Until now, we’ve never released a public demo of the game online — instead, we’ve been refining it exclusively through offline exhibitions! 😊[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p]Last year, I worked hard to promote the game by handing out printed flyers with the QR code link to the game’s wishlist. Thanks to those efforts, I was able to receive valuable support and, for the first time, gain 500 global wishlists from Taipei.[/p][p][/p][p]Even though our localization wasn’t perfect, the translation quality was lacking, we hadn’t prepared any souvenirs, and we couldn’t even handle basic communication, you still kindly pointed out both the shortcomings and strengths of the game with smiles. It became a truly memorable experience for us.[/p][p][/p][p]However, we truly feel sorry that we couldn’t prepare an online demo of the game this year. 😢[/p][p]Just like last year, we’ve been pouring our hearts into making the game this year too. Since Archetype Blue is our studio’s very first title, the journey hasn’t been easy — we’ve faced plenty of trial and error, scrapped ideas, and rebuilt things more times than we can count.[/p][p][/p][p]“But every challenge made the game stronger, and we can’t wait for you to see how far it’s come!” 🧚‍♂️[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p]Thinking about all of you who checked out our game early and added it to your wishlist, we felt that we should show it to you as soon as possible — so we decided to set a deadline for ourselves.[/p][p][/p][p]So, after this G-EIGHT Taipei offline showcase, we plan to take all the new feedback we receive and release a FGT demo on Steam sometime in 2026.[/p][p][/p][p]After the FGT demo, we plan to release the full demo, and following that, the game will be featured at NextFest. 😓To make sure everything goes smoothly according to plan, we’ll need your support.[/p][p][/p][p]If you haven’t added Archetype Blue to your wishlist yet, we’d really appreciate it if you did![/p][p]Also, join us on social media and share your thoughts![/p][p][/p][p]We truly want to build this game together with you, sharing both the good times and the challenges along the way. 😣[/p][p][/p][p]And from now on, we’d like to start sharing bits of information about the game.[/p][p]Many of the scenes in Archetype Blue are crafted pixel by pixel by the creator’s own hand, and the story will be presented in a variety of ways.[/p][p][/p][p]One of these is the cinematic style, where the game’s characters convey the story through their dialogue and actions.[/p][p][/p][p][/img] [/p][p]Another style features character illustrations and background art, allowing players to read the narrative text.[/p][p][/p][p][/img]The story follows the protagonist, Mary, across her past, present, and future, letting players experience the intertwined emotions and character development that unfold as the game progresses.[/p][p]Beyond the story, the game also features a unique combat system![/p][p]It’s a turn-based game that follows deck-building roguelite rules, but players grow their companions and build their decks, then proceed according to matchups and situations.[/p][p]We’ll share more details about the game systems in a separate update.[/p][p][/p][p]Finally, we’d like to share the concept art of a new character currently in development.[/p][p]As mentioned earlier, we have a strong preference for pixel graphics. 🎨[/p][p][/p][p]The character designs, including their animated movements, are carefully crafted without using Spine or any other external tools. Enemies, gigantic monsters, boss monsters, rivals, and background designs are all created with great care over long hours. Even extras and one-off designs are made entirely in-house.[/p][p][/p][p]Companion characters have been crafted with over 40 variations, including dozens of animations and context-specific dialogue. They can age over time or even appear as children. Relationships can shift dramatically — lovers may become bitter enemies, and players will experience the pain of characters sacrificing their own family for personal gain! 😈[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p]That was a long story![/p][p]We’ll share more updates about the game in our next news post![/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p]DISCORD[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll always continue to give our best, no matter what![/p][p][/p][p]- Codename Bom 🌺[/p]
