Dear keepers, The first update for [b]Maze Keeper[/b] is finally here! Based on your feedback, corrections have been made to improve the gameplay experience and make your adventure more fluid and balanced. You'll discover a new core mechanic, a new action card, tweaks to the Story mode, as well as numerous bug fixes. The Anger-o-meter[/h1] A new mechanic has been added to liven up the pace of the game, adding a new strategic dimension and an extra touch of challenge... [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45051573/7b0a527a037a62c374908a12e41fb8a138a7f6a2.gif[/img] The adventurer gets angry when he is defeated several times in a row by the same monster or on the same tile. He then becomes more powerful and gains more experience... In return, earned income is greatly enhanced (up to 500% more gold) !! So you'll have to adapt, choosing between irritating the adventurer to increase your earnings, or calming him down when the situation is about to get out of hand. To appease his anger, you'll have to let him defeat monsters, and allow him to progress further into the labyrinth. Don't worry: the guardian has come up with a new invention that should please you and help you in your quest... At the start of the adventurer's turn, the [b]Runic Magnet[/b] attracts a random totem from the board. It breaks when you retrieve the totem it has captured. [h1]3. Story Mode[/h1] [h3]• Stage 8[/h3] The eighth stage of the story mode proved to be particularly difficult. Although some managed to complete it, their patience was severely tested. The stage has been adjusted to reduce the difficulty gap with previous stages. [u]Altars now become available once the first three objectives have been completed[/u]. However, totems remain unavailable in cards, even if an Altar is placed on the board. [h3]• Demon Tokens[/h3] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45051573/85a648a911eda9aea50869e080d839f264f60cc9.png[/img] To limit the use of [i]Pacts with the Demon[/i] in Story mode, breaking items now costs a special currency: [b]Demon Tokens[/b], which can be obtained by collecting chests and winning bonus levels. Patch notes[/h1] [h3]The update also includes many other tweaks and bug fixes, as well as minor new features:[/h3] • Support for 4K screen resolution (3840 x 2160). • Clarified some cards and descriptions. • SCORE leaderboards has been added. • Special characters support for usernames in leaderboards. • Fixed an issue with saving items and their buyback price. • Fixed a bug that locked the Golden Reroll card. • Fixed a bug with adventurer's health points when exploding the bomber skeleton. • Fixed a bug that prevented a Stage 3 objective in Story mode from updating. • Fixed dialog display issues in some screen resolutions. • Story mode dialogs now display longer. • Fixed a camera framing bug in the second cinematic in Story mode. • Fixed a bug that made chests invisible and usable after being turned into totems by the Molotaur. • Fixed location of floating card previews when hovering over monsters, depending on screen resolution. • Added help text if the player loses in the first round to an adventurer with near-maximum energy. • Reduced XP bonus earned by adventurers after defeating a monster once all Story mode stage objectives have been validated. • Scorpider, Skulrog and Lich Lord totem drop disabled in Story mode stage 8. • Fixed a bug where Goldigs prices would not reset when restarting a stage in Story Mode. • Fixed a bug where monster desappear after beeing switched if the other monster die in lava after the switch. • Adventurer Health Points are no longer capped at to 100.000. • Lava tiles are now less bright.
