Hey Everyone, So we've seen some questions pop up about the content of the game, and to what extent this 'remaster' changes things. So for that reason we thought it prudent to list all of that in one place for convenient future reference ; - ) So without further ado, let's dive into why we think that Adam's Venture: Origins is more than your average 'remaster'. A small journey into the murky mist of time is required since that is where our story begins. Adam's Venture was first released into the world in the form of episodic adventure games, the first of which was released in 2009, which is by now 7 years ago. Last year we (SOEDESCO) bundled the episodes into Adam's Venture: Chronicles. We also gave it to everyone who owned all the three episodes on Steam. At that time we had already announced Adam's Venture: Origins, our new start for the franchise. We promised the fulfilment of a vision. That means a puzzle focused adventure game with a focus on brains and wit over violence and guns. We wanted to release a game that was also up to snuff on the technical side of things. We are working with the original developer Vertigo Games, to make sure that the original tone and artistic vision was respected. In addition to that, Vertigo knows Adam and his story best, and had a good idea of which challenges we would encounter in producing a new Adam's Venture game. All fine and dandy, but why don't you get down to the nitty gritty details? Let's do that, backing it up with some facts. [list] [*] Was rebuilt in a totally new engine (Unity 5) [*] Has a replotted and in places rewritten storyline. From 3 separate episodes to 1 coherent game. [*] Features a new grappling hook mechanic, used in new puzzles and platform challenges [*] Has all new graphics, that means new character models, textures, animations, the whole shebang. [/list] In addition to that some smaller changes had to be made due to the new platforms we had at our disposal. For instance some cut-scenes were also replaced with dynamic, player-triggered conversations, which meant we had to write and record new voice-acting.
