More optimizations this week! BLuRT just got updated to v1.03 which includes a huge fps boost! If your PC is up to it (mid, high range), you can now play BLuRT in 60 fps or higher. A lot of frame drops have been addressed too, so your experience should be even smoother.
What has been fixed this week:
[*] World is managed better in memory, resulting in a higher frame rate.
[*] Gun construction takes less clock cycles for faster robot spawns.
[*] Lifts and trains had a small tweak for smoother operation.
[*] Floating train rails have been mostly addressed.
[*] Several nasty frame drops on the client side of the game have been fixed.
[*] Several minor redundant code cycles have been removed.
This update paves the way to a 'directors cut.' A lot of fights with bots have been scrapped, because the optimization was not up to it, especially on the final fight. I plan on putting those bots back into the game. I am not promising extra content in assets, but the game might just get a little bit harder in the coming weeks. Do not fret, however. More bots means more money, which also means bigger guns. ;)
