Girls Like Robots

Their faces are the playing pieces. The rules are their emotions!Ridiculously charming puzzles, wrapped around an epic tale of love and danger, topped off with an authentic old-time stringband soundtrack! The goal is to put every one next to their friends. But you can't please everybody all the time.

While performing a routine review, we discovered that there was one girl who was uncertain as to whether or not she liked robots. This was unacceptable, so we stopped everything and dedicated our beings to refreshing Girls Like Robots.

100+ improved textures
Delicious font crispness everywhere!
Support for modern Macs + 64 bit Linux
Better multi-monitor support
Much improved controller support
In game display options (no more launcher before the game)
Underlying engine updated for increased compatibility and future proofing
Made Nerd Drop level up way faster
10% smaller install size!
This update is a labor of love that took a year of weekends. Well, for Ziba, not so much for Luigi. Luigi had the foresight to draw the original images at GIGANTIC RESOLUTIONS. Modern advances in image compression now let us use those original images while actually reducing the overall size of the game! That was the fun part. There was also a bit of less fun stuff. You see, GLR was running on a 10 year old version of Unity. It would no longer run on macs. Multiple-monitor support was wonky. The clock was ticking on its general compatibility. But updating Unity was not just clicking a button. 100s of tiny, unexpected shifts an cracks opened up. Particles disappeared. Textures were flipped. Animation timing was broken. Audio levels were all over the place. So I went over every little bit, and put it back in place... and them some. I couldn't help but polish up some parts along the way. Girls Like Robots has shaken off the dust and is ready to shine on your first or fiftieth romp through the world's best seating arrangement puzzler with an old time string band soundtrack!
