On August 4, 1944, for the first time since the beginning of the Warsaw Uprising, planes with supplies for the insurgents fighting for freedom appeared over the city.

Three crews under the command of Captain Stanisław Daniel, Lieutenant Tadeusz Nencki, and Second Lieutenant Stanisław Kleybor carried out successful airdrops in the area of the cemetery in Wola, where the "Radosław" group was fighting. The airdrops were made between 00:48 and 01:43 a.m.
